You will receive these quests from your party members. Quite often after offering a right gift.
Flemeth’s Grimoire
Morrigan will also be really happy with a Golden Mirror (+20).
Antivan Leather Boots – a perfect gift for Zevran (+13). Also: he will wear them (+4% spell resistance).
The flowers: Andraste’s grace are for Leliana, she will appreciate them.
Alistair’s Mother’s Amulet: give it to Alistair, he’ll be happy (+4). He also mentioned that he will talk about it to the Arl of Redcliffe, when he gets better. Alistair’s Family quest will be unlocked.

Be aware that the level of aproval that a given item generates varies with the warmth level. The friendlier, the less point you get. So keep the +1/+4 items for last, and give the good stuff (+8/17/20) first. The higher the warmth, the better the bonus to your companion. +1/+2/+3/+ ? in one stat for 25+/50+/75+/100
Morrigan : (+ x magic)
- Jewelry (golden rope is +10, +9 later on, +8…)
- Black grimoire (dropped in the Circle of Magi)
Leliana : (+ x cunning)
- Andraste’s grace (+17 approval) found in the Brecilian forest.
- Andraste’s amulets. There’s an amulet or two that you can find even before exiting Lothering.
Hound :
- Marbari stuff
- Beef bone, etc…
Alistair : (+x constitution)
- Carved statuette (+10)
- Any magical item.

Companion quests :
Leliana’s past (asks you to seek someone in Denerim). Quest unlocked after +50 relationship, a discussion at camp with Leliana, plus a random encounter with assassins.
The sword of the Beressad : find Sten’s sword. I have no clue where or how to find it.
Sten’s sword can be found by… going to the lake next to the magi’s tower. You speak to a scavenger, then go to Orzamar’s entrance and talk to Faryn. Finally, go to Gwyn, a dwarf in Redcliffe.
The sword of the Beressad –> You have to talk to Sten in camp place. The he ask you to find a Sword. So, you must go to Lake Calenhad. Just when you arrived there, look to left. Find the scaveger. Ask for the sword. He tell’s you that sword was with Faryn in Orzammar (but the right spot is on the surface, Frost Back Montains). But he sold that sword to a dwarf in Redcliffe. Go to the Redicliffe Village and look for the Dwyn’s House. There you’ll finally found the Sten’s sword.

i dont c how 2 give gifts 2 companions. i hav stuff that are called “gifts” such as balck grimore and andrestes grace, but i dont c how i give them 2 peebs in camp. help?
There also is a companion quest for Leliana, I got it unlocked by using specific choices in the dialogs to get her to admit she was bard which revealed the true story of her leaving Orlais, after a time it got us attacked by assassins (nope not the crows) which were sent by the person who was responsible for her leaving and got us to visit said person in Denerim.
I also got a companion quest for Wynne on my first play through but never got it completed before getting to the end, I assume that with proper dialogs one can get companion quests for all characters, Sten will most likely be the one I’ll have the harder time getting a quest from for some reason my tendency to help people does not fit well with his character.
@unknown: you can give gifts in your party camp. Right click on the gift (PC) in the inventory. Make sure that you have selected character to whom you want to give the item.
so then how do u select characters?
@unknown: You do it by rolling to them in the inventory, the same way you equip party characters in camp.

There are quests for every companion, which you can unlock through conversations/ higher approval ratings.
Wynne:
- Search for Aneirin: this elf in the brecilian forest who used to be her student and ran away from the tower.
Lelianna
- Marjolaine – her old lover/mentor who is now back to get her and you meet people on the road who attacks you because Marjolaine told them to kill Lelianna, you then approach her in a house in Denerim and fight.

Sten :
- Once you get him to a point where he’ll talk to you about how he came in Ferelden you’ll get the possibility of a quest to find back his sword. The quest is pretty straightforwad, starting at a scavenger at Lake Calenhad.
To complete wynn’s quest, bring her to Dalish camp besides the forest and you will be able to chat with a guy near the camp fire. Then take her to the forest to find her student
Wynn’s Student an Elf called Aneirin is near the hermits camp in the East Brecilian Forest
I have spoke to faryn about sten’s sword and he has said that he ain’t got it and that he sold it to a dwarf called dwyn but when I looked at hisstuff to buy the quanari sword was in there what is this about do I buy it or go to see dwyn write back
@Jonny: No, the Quanari sword is just your average every day, Quanari weapon Sten’s sword is with Dwyn.
@Jonny: if u go to redcliff and talk to dwyn, u can ask him about the sword and then u can either persuade him to give it to u, sell it to u or u can fight him then steal it. i hade no problem just asking him for it after sten told him it was his and he wanted it back lol
To get all companions quest all you need is to rise up their affection toward you. Simply increase it, you can use the gift guide to help you. Once the affection is high enough, talk to them… probably in the camp. then you started to get this request from friends…… but I was in difficulty….
I rise all their affection toward my male character by being so sweet… lol…. in one go, I earned trophy from having romance trill with Morrigon, Zevran and Leliana. i reload my save game afterward and ignore them this time…. I cant handle 2 woman and a gay guy being so jealous with each other.. i was laughing hard.. LOL
