Dress yourself in the armor disguise. Next, go to the armory and tell the guy there that you are the replacement. The guard will leave. Next, go to the commander in the next room and he will think you are a new recruit. He will tell you to get the others and be ready for inspection. Go into the next room and tell the guys about the inspection. They will complain about not having swords. Tell them you'll take care of it (and you actually already have), lead them to the armory and grab the swords from the stand. Report to the commander. Reply 'Yes Sir!'. If Alister is with you, have him reply 'Discipline' when he is questioned. Ive made it thru all of the dungeon but cant interact with my character all it has is that arrow above her head. Am I doing something wrong? If he is in party at the time, he will be caught too. When you get captured and tossed in a cell, you have the option of choosing someone to come rescue you. Choose him and one other. Alistair seems to have a "rescue the damsel in distress" complex. Having him save you gains 4 rep. Dunno if this works on male toons, only played through as a female. Mmkay, if you are trying to gain rep with Alistair, leave him out of your party before heading off to rescue the queen. If he is in party at the time, he will be caught too. When you get captured and tossed in a cell, you have the option of choosing someone to come rescue you. Choose him and one other.

If you are in disguise, they will tell you they had their swords taken away and you have to help them get them back. Then you just waltz out of the place in their company ... ditching them, I assume, in the allies of Denerim. your party members will join you? they didn’t come get me … I must not have had enough approval :P
