The Fade

You are deployed into the Fade – a place that is about to test your skills as a magi (Harrowing). This is a tutorial level.

You will encounter some easy enemies on your way.

Walk down the small canyon until you meet a mouse. Talk to him and he will accompany you in your journey. Further down the road you will see Spirit of Valor. He wants you to fight him and as a reward you would receive one of his weapons. If you possess enough Willpower you might try to convince him to join you, which will result in him giving you the item anyway.

After defeating a pack of wolves you will meet Sloth – a bear-looking creature. If you answer his riddles correctly, he will teach Mouse how to take his shape (you can also kick his ass if you’re not patient enough).

The answers to his riddles: a map, a tongue and a dream. Now Mouse joins your party as a bear :)

Head back to defeat the Rage Demon. After you succeed Mouse will leave your party and your trial will be over.

Winter’s Grasp is a great spell for this early portion, and in general. Most (if not all) creatures you meet in the Harrowing are vulnerable to cold damage. On Normal Difficulty, the Spell Wisps go down from one casting of Winter’s Grasp.

fire is way better for a mage :P the wild girl has cold spells :P
the best combo to do in the begging is fire + creation + survival
dont take herbalisam, poison or trap making sills
with that combo u rule solo :D grease + fire and u have inferno :D
inferno + grease double inferno, earth is also good as second primary for the petrify and earth glove spells that instant kills creatures with scathering…
strategy: look at the red dots in rooms and such, dont open the door, cast grease + fire on the closed door then open it ( if the creatures are away) they will fall and burn constanty :P its fun :D or if they are close to the door just cast fireball on the closed door multiple times, or inferno :D u will kill most of the creatures in the game w/o them touching you :D
