You probably heard about Redcliffe many times before actually arriving in the town. From the very beginning it is quite obvious that the village is in trouble and people require your help. On your way back you might want to talk to Jetta about her dead relatives. Talk to Kaitlyn and agree to help finding her missing brother.
Once you have finished A Village Under Siege and The Attack at Nightfall you will be able to work for the Blackstone and the Chanters in Redcliffe. Their respective quest-points will appear in fron of the Chantry.

Make sure you speak with Kaitlyn and find her missing brother in the house, (marked as “house” on the local map) ask him what is “in there” after you find him hiding in the wardrobe.
If you are a rogue, you may be able to persuade him to give you his father’s sword….Alistair can use it…and it can be enchanted with Runes at the Party Camp by the retarded dwarf boy.
