A Missing Child

Exit the Chantry and head to the house on the right (Kaithlyn’s house). The boy is hiding in the closet. Open the door. He may run away after a short chatter. Maybe if you could persuade him to tell you about his little secret… Return to the Chantry ane report to his sister.

The sword you get from this quest can be returned to Kaithlyn when you are finished with it.

After freeing Connor I went Redcliffe and insisted Kaithlyn take it, and then she realized it would be worth a lot of money and that was a good idea.

I got +reputation with Wynne and Leliana for doing this. If you keep the sword you will lose rep with Leliana. I didn’t try giving her money for it though.

i can’t get the key, tried everyway to pass the dialog with Bavin. Maybe that’s bug?

  3. Raven says:

I think you have to be able to Persuade the boy, otherwise you can’t get the reward. Once you fail you cannot retry. Any other ideas?

  4. Tien says:

Thank you for your help… but somehow it didn’t work for me. Like i said before “tried everyway”, that mean i have to save game before i talk to the boy, and then… you know, keep reload and reload to change the dialog, but he still not give me the key… So i decided to pass the quest without gain the key (1 lock will never be open :D )

  5. Memoi567 says:

Where does Kaitlyn go when you give her the 500 silver to live in Denerim. I cannot find her there at all. anyone know where she might have disappeared to? (same question for the red head in the tavern)

  6. guysholliday says:

Sten will disapprove if you deny her a reward for the Green Blade (and you’ll have to pay it no matter what if he’s in your party). 1 sovereign is his price, if you don’t offer this up immediately you’ll lose either 5 or 10 influence (can’t remember). I don’t know what happens if you offer more.

  7. Memoi567 says:

She told me that that was so much that she could go live in Denerim. Do I ever see her again?

  8. EZ says:

You don’t see Bella again (the redhead in the tavern), but if you help her, you’ll find out what happened in the ending sequence.

  9. Pugee says:

You can improve persuasion and intimidation by raising the main character’s coercion skill… For this quest, I think you need at least level 2 coercion to persuade Bevin

  10. drusyla says:

You can intimidate Bevin & he will give you the key. Intimidating him won’t have any impact on your influence with party members. :)

  11. raanan says:

    where can i find Kaitlyn

  12. Tobs says:

I ‘Intimidated’ the kid into giving me the key. I raised my level by doing all the optional quests possible first, to get my ‘coercion’ skill leveled up though. Because on my previous playthrough I couldn’t convince him despite having low skill level ‘coercion’.
