A Village Under Siege

Bann Teagan introduced you to the situation. First speak to Murdock.

You can see him talking to a Militia member as you exit Chantry.

After talking to Murdock visit the Smith. He probably wouldn’t like to talk to you, so you will have to find another way. Kick the door open or use your lockpicking skill. Make a promise that you will rescue Smith’s daughter and he will agree to work on the weapons for the militia. Before leaving Owen’s workshop look for a hidden trapdoor under a crate. Owen will open it for you, there are some weapons and armour.

Go to Dwyn’s house. Kick the door open, or use a lockpick if you’re good enough. Talk to the dwarf. If you’re not the best diplomat employing him will cost you 100 silver coins.

Visit the General Store and check on the barrels. You might need them to defend the village. Report this finding to Ser Perth. You will find him near a windmill up on a hill.

You can also visit a tavern and while talking to an elf insist a bit on getting the right information. While you’re at it don’t miss the small shipyard treasure just next to the tavern.

But coming back to the main quest:

Go to the Chantry and request a blessing for the army from Mother Hannah.

Now you can go back to explain the situation to Ser Perth. After you do it report to Murdock and prepare for the siege. When you’re ready tell either Ser Perth or Murdock that you .. are ready. Make sure you have plenty healing and mana resources! The already infamous quest: The Attack at Nightfall begins.

There is a house you can go jsut under the mill if you follow the long wodden bridge . and there is a man in the house name Dernal Garrison . is there anything to do with him . When i talk to him the only thing i can answer is nothing for now ?

There is a marked tree by the mill. I have also found one in Redcliffe castle yard and, I think, in B… smth. woods or at the elven camp. They supposed to be some kind of border signs.

I went into that house and Dernal wasn’t there. This was after the Attack at Nightfall was already completed. Does that matter? I mean, he wasn’t there before, and I didn’t even have the quest yet…

As for the landmarks, G1, they are for your dog, so that he may mark his territory.

You can pickpocket the incriminating letter off of the grumpy elf in Redcliffe’s tavern and use it to convince him to defend the town against the undead. Sten quips something positive. The bartender Lloyd can be similarly recruited through enough persuasion/intimidation, which Sten again commends you for. Doing this allows you to talk to the new (temporary) proprietor of the tavern, the saucy wench Bella. She will provide you with lots of FREE items, including poultices and, strangely enough, items for Shale.

Upon your victorious return, Lloyd the Bartender will present you with his Magic Ring, which provides +2 to Strength. Bella will additionally offer you a hero’s welcome (kiss), but your romantic interest won’t be too happy about that. Don’t forget to get more FREE stuff from her before ending your conversation.

Don’t forget to ask the Knights if they need any more help after providing them with the location of the oil. They will request the Maker’s blessing from the Revered Mother in Redcliffe’s Chantry. She has some misgivings, but persuasion (or Alistair’s charm) will convince her to see the light and provide you with some non-magical trinkets to help the knights’ morale. Return to Ser Whatever once she agrees.

Does anybody know what happens if you give Bella the 500 coins? Seems a lot to gamble, guessing you are rewarded a lot later on?

also take the plant near the mill next to the road and give it to liliana or whatever the name, as a gift, there will be a dialog and answer that its her mothers flower and stuff.. and ull get +12 respekt from her which will result of she telling u that she is wanted for looking at top secret document or smth like that, it will happen when u enter the camp…
mages are useful with grease and fire combo in the upcoming battle, otherwise the undead are immune to regular mage attacks, try setting ur mage to cast grease and fire on the ground and control alistar for exemple to fight the undead, use his paladin skills and stuns, its veeeeeery effective here, set the wild girl m… or what was her name to supporter or controler, that way she will use horror and freeze on them. It’s an easy battle that costed me to loose only 1 militia :D :D … but u have to do good tactics and never use mage regular attacks. DONT FORGET TO PLACE LILIANA TO RANGE AND GIVE HER A BOW, also melee ranger works perfectly for her, she has rapid shot, and other useful range skills, perfect for the undead that rush in the militia.
