When you speak to Teagan before going inside the castle you can ask him to have his knights waiting outside the courtyard. Then you just run to open the gate and there will be 4 knights to help you. My suggestion is that ask the demon for arcane knowledge (blood mage specialization), that will unlock the class for you, then reload to fight her again, this time ask for talent points. All of that can be done without persuasion, just pick the "right" choices, since the demon doesn't really want to fight you anyways.
