The Brecilian Forest is a home of the Elves.
Beside main quests you might want to:
Kill Revenant and his skeletons.
Revenant Summon Place in East Brecilian Forest
Summon him by interacting with the Gravestone.
East of that location you will meet a crazy mage. He has a helmet (Ancient Elven Helm, +25% spirit resistance), a book (Archons of the Imperium vol. 1) and the Grand Oak Acorn. Trade with him, he will be interested in various items.
Southeast: a skeleton (not far from where 3 trees attack) carrying unique shield.
Mythal's Blessing Shield
West of the location of the Grand Oak you find a camp. Rest in it and a demon will appear. Defeat him and loot around.
You will find Dalish Gloves (gift) and Armor.

can anyone help me find the werewolf leader? ive run all over the woods and i cannot find the werewolf i am supposed to be looking for. thanks
They are in a huge Ruin. Took me awhile to stumble upon it, and it’s a complicated maze to get through, but once the way is open, you simply walk into the belly of the beast. To get to the Ruin, you need to get the acorn from the crazy mage dude and give it to the Great Oak in exchange for a special branch that will get you through the fog you keep walking through and getting turned around in. The werewolves and the sylvans have an agreement, and only the branch from the Great Oak will let you pass – at least, that’s how I got it.
You may also talk to the crazy old mage, Hermit, and he will ask you to kill the Old Oak Tree and once you have killed the tree you will have his branch and the crazy mage will tell you how to use it to get through the fog. You could also kill Hermit and just ransack through his belongings, and you will find the acorn inside his tree stump that you can converse with. But if you want to do good, I would just stick to doing the other way by trading with Hermit, I suggest you trade the acorn with the the book of elven history which you can get from Cammen when you bring him Gheyna together. ( You need enough persuasion skills to convince Gheyna, or just go get him an animal pelt. ) I suggest you do not trade the scarf you get from Danyla, Arthras’s wife, who is caught in the werewolf curse, you neeed to give the scarf to her husband.
