It describes a ritual you have to perform to open a passage ahead.
Go to the room with a fountain, take the earthen jug an fill it with water. Then place the filled jug on the altar. Kneel before the altar and pray. Examin the jug on the altar. Take a sip of the water. Take the earthen jug. Dump the water in the jug back into the pool.
You can hear a shattering noise. The door just snapped open.
Enter the room and defeat the enemies.
Reward: Juggernaut Plate Armor and a new quest: The Mage’s Treasure.

The water in the jug evapourates so how can I take a sip from the jug when it’s empty
The water is evaporating because you haven’t found the tomb yet. Look at the map and you’ll see where you missed it. I did the same thing.
