No need to change form or anything, just give it a few seconds and don't speak to her - you'll get the cut scene after a bit. I finally got her to stop by running around while a golem. So if this happens I advise that. You do have to go to other areas to get the other forms....so you kind of have to go back & forth a bit. That's probably about the only thing that the author doesn't really explain in great detail.
